Return & Refund Policy

This policy governs all purchases made through SUSHMI Signatures. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth below.
All sales are final. SUSHMI Signatures does not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once an order has been placed and payment confirmed. Each product is reserved exclusively for the buyer upon order confirmation, thereby removing it from availability for other prospective customers. No exceptions shall be made to this policy, except as expressly stated in the section below regarding damaged or defective products.
Damaged or Defective Products
In the event that a product is received with physical damage sustained during transit or bearing a manufacturing defect, the following process shall apply:
- The buyer must notify SUSHMI Signatures within 24 to 48 hours of delivery. Claims submitted beyond this period shall not be entertained.
- The notification must include clear photographs and a written description of the damage, sent to [email protected] or via WhatsApp at +91 93901 81257.
- The claim shall be reviewed and a determination communicated within 1–2 business days.
- Upon approval, SUSHMI Signatures shall coordinate return shipping at its own expense. The buyer may elect either an exchange for the same or a comparable product, or a full refund.
The product must be returned in its original, unused condition — unworn, unwashed, and unaltered.
Items Not Eligible for Return
The following categories of items shall not be accepted for return or exchange under any circumstances:
- Sarees accompanied by stitched blouses
- Items that have been worn, washed, or altered in any manner
- Pre-order or custom-made items, unless defective upon delivery
- Claims submitted beyond 48 hours of delivery
Grounds Not Constituting a Valid Return
Colour variance: Handwoven textiles are photographed under controlled lighting conditions. Notwithstanding this, a variance of approximately 5% in colour may occur between the product as displayed on screen and the product as received, owing to differences in display calibration and the inherent nature of handcrafted goods. Such variance is standard across the textile industry and does not constitute a defect. Should the buyer, however, receive a product in an entirely different colour — for instance, having ordered a red saree and received a blue one — this shall be treated as a fulfilment error and resolved accordingly.
Subjective expectations: Returns shall not be accepted on the basis of personal perception, including but not limited to assessments that the colour is "too bright", "too dark", or that the texture differs from expectation.
Price comparisons: SUSHMI Signatures does not accept returns or exchanges predicated on price comparisons with other sellers. The quality, authenticity, and sourcing of products offered by third parties cannot be verified or equated.
Change of mind: Orders placed and confirmed are binding. No cancellations, returns, or exchanges shall be processed on the basis of a change of mind.
Refund Timeline
Applicable only to approved damage or defect claims. Upon approval, the refund shall be processed to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

The 5–7 business day timeline is a standard payment gateway processing period applicable across all online transactions — whether on SUSHMI Signatures, Amazon, or any other e-commerce platform. This duration is governed by the payment processor and the buyer's banking institution, and is not within the control of SUSHMI Signatures.
International Orders
This policy applies uniformly to international orders. For genuine damage or defect claims reported within 24–48 hours of delivery, SUSHMI Signatures shall coordinate resolution. Customs duties and import taxes paid by the buyer are non-refundable and remain the buyer's responsibility.
